Curry leaves have amazing health benefits and medicinal uses for hair, skin and face. Curry leaves aids hair growth, treats anemia, aids weight loss and reduces high cholesterol.

Another lesser known but 2 very interesting uses of curry leaves is it’s anti amnesic activity. When mice were regularly given curry leaves for period of 30 days, the memory scores showed reduced amnesia that was induced in both young and adult mice. 5. Anti Cancer Properties:
Koenimbin, one of the major bioactive compound of curry leaves has been proven to be effective against prostate cancer and breast cancer. Koenimbin, extracted from curry leaves significantly prevented the growth cancer cells. It also has been shown to decrease the recurrence of cancer and so patients who are under remission after prostate cancer treatment also will benefit consuming curry leaves. Also certain alkaloids like murrayazoline present in curry leaves prevents colon cancer too.

Since curry leaves are rich in antioxidants, it helps reduce oxidative stress which plays an important role in many neurobehavioral disorders like anxiety and depression that many of us suffer now.
