vitamin e capsules for hair

Vitamin E capsules help with hair growth, from improving blood circulation to treating dry scalp, they help with many hair problems. They can also be easily included in haircare treatments. I use them in hair packs, hair creams, and hair. I even make vitamin E hair oil at home.

What Are Vitamin E Capsules?

Vitamin E is an essential fat-soluble vitamin that plays a very important role in our body. Its main role is as an antioxidant, free radical damage is responsible for many health conditions like heart disease, cancers, bad vision, etc so we must consume antioxidant-rich foods daily. Foods like nuts, fruits, and vegetables are rich sources of vitamin E. If you are deficient, you can consume vitamin E in capsule form too.

1. To Arrest Hair Fall

Vitamin E capsules are increasingly used in hair care formulas for a good reason. It is a wonderful antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress. Oxidative stress has been linked to hair fall, but most of us don’t realize that it can be one of the reasons for our persistent hair fall problem. Regularly including vitamin E oil in our hair care treatments, we can help reduce oxidative stress.

2. Increases Blood Circulation

Vitamin E has been proven to increase blood circulation to the scalp. Increased blood supply to the scalp improves hair growth and prevents hair fall. This is one of the reasons that hair massage helps reduce hair fall as hair massage helps improve circulation in the scalp.

3. Healthy Scalp

Vitamin e deficiency can lead to a dry and irritated scalp. Extreme dryness of the scalp can lead to scaling and itching and when we scratch our scalp, it can get inflamed leading to hair fall. If you experience severe scalp dryness and itching, check for vitamin E deficiency and if you are deficient, increase your intake of vitamin E-rich foods.

4. Shiny Hair

Hair can look dull and lifeless if the protective outer fat layer is stripped off. When we apply vitamin e oil (combined with a base oil), it forms a protective covering and gives a healthy shine. If you are worried about your lackluster hair, I would suggest two things. The first is massaging with vitamin E-based oil, and the second is increasing the intake of vitamin E-rich natural foods like nuts, seeds, and wheatgerm.

Topical application of vitamin E rarely causes side effects to our scalp or hair. But please remember to use it with a base ingredient as it is very thick. Though rare, undiluted vitamin E might cause itching and rashes in some people. I like to use it in hair packs and hair creams.

Take vitamin E capsules only if you are deficient consuming high doses of vitamin E for long durations has been proven to cause more harm than good. Instead of consuming vitamin E capsules, try consuming vitamin E-rich foods like leafy greens, nuts, and seeds.
