I tried three versions of this baking soda face mask and I have to say, it is one of the quickest way to get rid of acne, open pores & acne scars. Baking soda face masks also leave our skin brighter after using it. Of the three versions, first method was mixing the baking soda with lemon juice. It will start foaming once the lemon juice is added, now add pure unadulterated honey to it and your face mask is ready.
I have a very normal skin, but when I applied this combination it started burning, so if you have sensitive skin, please stay away from this combination. I am writing this because many books and articles ask people to try this combination for all skin types. The second one was baking soda mixed with honey. I liked this combination and there was no burning sensation on my skin at all. So if you have sensitive skin, then this is the best combination for you.
The last one was the baking soda mixed with plain water and I experienced slight tingling sensation but nothing much. It is also very effective than the rest of the two methods because we are using baking soda directly. To use, first clean your face with a mild face wash, mix the desired combination and using a chop stick apply it over the acne spots.
Wait for it to dry, it takes around 5 minutes and then wash your face with water. Pat dry and apply moisturizer. Do this continuously, once every day till the acne disappears. This treatment works wonderfully for some, but might not work for people, who have sensitive skin. Apply this baking soda face mask only on the acne spots and make sure that your baking soda is fresh, for the mask to be effective. If you experience severe burning wash your face immediately.
3 Best Baking Soda Face Packs:
METHOD1:
Take the required amount of baking soda and add a few drops of lemon juice, it will start foaming, now add honey to it to form a thick paste.
METHOD 2:
Take the required amount of baking soda in a bowl .Make sure to break the lumps. Add the honey and
mix to get a thick paste.
METHOD 3:
Take the required amount of baking soda and mix it with water to from a thick white paste.
NOTES:
- For the first time start with honey and baking soda combination and then if it agrees with you, try out the other two methods.
- Please do a patch test before trying this mask.
- This baking soda face mask is very effective for acne, that produces results very quickly.
- Select the method that suits your skin type. If using lemon use only a few drops.
- Slight tingling sensation is normal, but if you experience severe burning, wash your face with water.

Turmeric is wonderful for treating both acne and black spots. Here at home, I use holy basil and turmeric paste, works really, really well in treating acne and dark spots. You can read about it here
Is there any remedy for dark spots or marks?
Try applying pure Aloe Vera gel on the area, it will lighten the dark spots in time…
Can I try this treatment with my 15 years old boy?. He got pimples only on and around nose. Very painful.
Since he is only 15, I would suggest applying fresh turmeric paste for him only on the spots, usually it is very very effective and will reduce pain and inflammation very fast….

Coming to the baking soda it has wild functions around make a thick paste with limited water and apply directly on your face and wash with warm water after an hour it gives u the best results for your acne and pimples. Apply it daily for one hour for best results
