What Is Garlic Milk?
Garlic milk is nothing but milk infused with garlic, you can use any variety milk that you prefer. If you are lactose intolerant or vegan, you can use coconut milk or almond milk. Here in our place, we make garlic milk with country garlic or hill garlic or single clove garlic as they are said to posses better medicinal properties than China garlic. This garlic milk can be consumed by everyone and each and everyone will benefit consuming it.

Garlic Milk Side Effects:
Drinking a cup of this garlic milk will not cause any problems but if you consume too much of garlic milk, it can cause stomach burn especially if the garlic is not cooked well, heart burn and in extreme cases nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. There will be garlic breath after drinking this but since the garlic is cooked well, it won’t be very strong.
How To Make Garlic Milk:
1. Pound the 3 small garlic pods well and add to a cup of milk or coconut milk. Boil it till the garlic is cooked well. If you are adding coconut milk, make sure to boil in low flame else it will split.
2. I love the taste of palm candy in this milk, this is palm candy.
3. Once the garlic is cooked, add palm candy to taste, 1/4 tsp pepper powder and 1/8 tsp turmeric powder. Boil for few minutes till raw smell goes and switch off.
4. Let it cool a bit and mash it with a masher and strain. Your healthy garlic milk is ready!
NOTES:
- Make sure to pound the garlic pods well for it to cook faster.
- You can substitute palm candy with white sugar too but palm candy is very healthy and rich in iron.
- For young children, reduce the quantity of pepper powder.
- This milk is tasty and very comforting to drink especially if you have a cold or flu.
- I used organic grass fed whole milk from the farm for making this drink, you can substitute with any type of milk you prefer
- I don’t like it too sweet but you can decrease or increase the sweetness according to your taste.
